You use our Tentacle Sync Studio software, transferred your footage into the file browser and a window pops up saying. „Codec unavailable“?
Good to know:
Tentacle Sync has no codecs build in and relies on Apple Codecs. So if you're camera records with XAVC LongGOP or XAVC Intra Codec, you will need that codec installed on your computer to view and do a Media export with your footage. These codecs come with any professional Apple video App like Final Cut (X), Motion or Compressor. So the cheapest way to get them is to buy Compressor. If you do want to use XML or AAF export instead of media export, you do not need the codecs to be installed at all. The exported XML will just link fine to the camera files, even if the codec is unavailable.
To check, if your computer has the needed codecs and operating system, you can go to the Settings of Tentacle Sync Studio. There is the box „Codec support“, all three have to be checked, and you need at least OSX10.10 Yosemite
