A Firmware Update App will be available on our website www.tentaclesync.com/downloads as soon as there is a new TRACK E firmware released. It will automatically check the firmware version, when you connect a TRACK via USB. If there is a more recent version available, it will ask you to update the firmware. If you agree to the update, the Setup App will activate the bootloader mode on the TRACK E. On a Windows computer it may take some time, because Windows might have to install a bootloader driver first.
During the firmware update ensure that your laptop has sufficient battery or is connected to the mains.
Also ensure you have a proper USB connection during a firmware update. In the unusual case that the firmware update fails, your device needs to be restored. In this case please contact:
Please note: The Tentacle Sync Studio software or the Tentacle Timecode Tool software should not be running at the same time as the Firmware Update App. The Tentacle can only be detected by one Tentacle software at a time.
